Question on DPF cleaning.

I have dpf gauge up on the dash. Yesterday was driving gauge showed filter full drive to clean. Was stuck in race traffic for awhile. Once on the highway gauge started to drop and bottom out at 35% than started to rise. My trip home was about 150 miles or so. Does this sound right. Contacted dealer service advisor said it was. 2016 F250 driving empty. Thanks in advance.

That is not uncommon for the percentage to not drop as low as it normally does. My truck did a regen today and stopped at 30% when it normally drops to 15%-25%

Ok thank you. There are so many different post on DPF. Not like my old V10. I'm reading and learning as I go.

35% was normal for mine. Occasionally it would drop to 25% but not often.

I've been doing lots of research on this. I have my dpf % screen enabled. The mileage between regens seems a little lower than most have posted but it has never failed to regen down to 0%. It will go to 100% and down to 0% every time. '14 Lariat with 85000 miles all stock.

Where you driving above 35mph for awhile and then stop/go? I’ve noticed with mine as long as I’m staying in the 35-45mph range it will drop to 0% but if I hit traffic for 10 minutes or so the regen stops and starts to climb again.

On my '15 F250 getting down to 30-35% was normal. Only once did I notice it go as low as 15% and I never saw 0%.
