The door lock unlock functions work fine it's just the remote start that will not work..If you hit the start function all the dash fires up but the horn honks and the engine will not start.
Mine did that after I replaced Fuse 27 (it involves disconnecting the battery), but all I had to do was start the truck with the key once and it has worked ever since. The only other time it did that was when I tested the remote start with the key in the ignition; it honked and didn't start.
I'm not sure how it works on the '09-'10s, but on the '11-'14s, there's a hood switch that has to sense that the hood is closed. IIRC, if that switch is disconnected, the remote start won't work.
Different instructions for different systems. Do you have a light to the left of your steering column and is it blinking? Does your remote have buttons on it labeled 1 and 2? If the answer is yes to these questions then press the #2 button once and see if the light stops blinking. If it does try and remote start it.
Light is on the left of the steering wheel. Dont think it's in valet mode the original thread was given some info pretty sure it's a failure in the Pats system..Going to have to take the truck to the dealership
Just an update of it helps someone...ended up taking the truck to the dealer to have it analyzed..The tps started going off took it to the tire shop and the interior light started flashing when driving...took it to the dealership and they called saying the remote start bypass module failed
..causing all the above issues
