I just bought a 2010 f150 and it came with the single button remote start. I've been reading lots of posts about remote start but none with my issue. Mine when you push the button the horn beeps, ignition comes on, the seat slides forward, then the horn beeps just one time again, and it just sits there with the radio playing and not running. Everyone else is getting a 3 beep error code and I'm getting just the one beep.
Sounds like you may need to reset the system buy disconnecting the battery completely for a couple of minutes and then reconnect. Try that and see if it works.
I found this on another forum from someone that had the 4 beeps:
If this happens to anyone else, here is the solution. It took 2 trips to the dealer, they had to get there installer to meet me there. (Even though this was a factory installed remote starter.) It is a 30 second fix. Turn key to ON position. There is a button under the dash by the pedals, you have to push in and hold the button while depressing the brake. It will beep 3 times and it should be reset, start the car and then turn it off and you are ready to go after that.
There was another suggestion like Shortride stated by disconnecting the battery. The OP didn't come back and say which one helped them.
Looked everywhere, can't find a button. I did however find a black box under there that says remote start system and it has a long black wire coming out of it separate from the other wires that was balled up and didn't go anywhere but was stripped out at the end. Looks like it would go somewhere, a ground maybe?

Sounds like it's dealer time, AndysFords; I'm sure they'll get your beeps under control for you. How many miles are on the truck? Come back and tell us if you decide to get your dealership involved.

I'm guessing that's the antenna. Probably don't want to ground it...
