My power steering is making a screeching sound when I drive my truck, just replaced the pump because the old one went out, didn’t make the noise before the old pump went out, and it leaks fluid from the low pressure line going into the gearbox, right at the fitting, didn’t leak from there before, it sounds nothing like belt slip so I know it’s not that, and it’ll only make the sound occasionally, I’ll be driving down the road and it’ll just start screeching, it sounds like fluid is bubbling and spraying out of somewhere but the only place I can see the fluid leaking is the low pressure line, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Is the screeching sound when you turn your tires? If so, you may need to bleed the system again to get the air out. I recommend that you put the front on stands and remove the tires when you do this. It will allow maximum movement for bleeding the air out of the system. Also, see if you can tighten the fitting using a tube wrench.

The screeching sounds comes and goes while I’m driving the truck, it mainly starts when I move the wheel back and forth because of the play in the steering. I’ll try rebleeding the system and see what that does.
