P0016 code = not good

Was driving it normal in my neighborhood last week and the check engine light came on. Check the code and it was P0016. Truck drives fine, idles fine, towed 12k pounds with the light on and went on a 500 mile trip to my deer lease. Dropped it off at Ford on Monday they tell me it was a cam sensor. Tried it out and still throwing the code. Now Ford tells them to overlay a section of the engine harness. Gonna find out today if that fixes it, if not looks like a built short block will be in the near future. Probably the crank gear slipped. The new one will be for sure welded in place.

My truck is a late job 1 truck built Feb 11th 2017 .

Hey,

What ever happened to your truck after Ford did the overlay? I have the same code and the dealer is keeping my truck for a while. It’s a 2017 F350 6.7
