Update turn the truck on once code was still there cried a little bit turned it off did it again code check engine light is gone OBD reader shows no code and memory any ideas folks
My truck just threw this code is it safe to drive what's the deal
my trucks been doing the same thing with this code for awhile And other than the annoyance of the engine light being on it hasn't made the truck act any differently. Most likely your sensor is bad. But I'd still double check your hose to make sure it's connected. Here's a great video that I saw someone post on a different thread that should help you out. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=s5JaCRdsY6s
The actual thread was over on powerstroke.org if that link still don't work just search 6.7 crankcase ventilation sensor in YouTube that's the video name
Basically it's the sensor that gets thrown when it thinks the crankcase vent hose is disconnected. The crankcase hose is connected to the inlet side of your turbo if that hose is still connected your good to go just might need a new sensor
Well my brother the code went off after 3 drive cycles but cam on the following day and after 3 more drive cycles when off. I don't know how to find this thing or how to fix it so I have made an appointment on Wednesday morning to bring it in or the dealership to check it out I believe it is a bad sensor. But when I'm there I'm going to ask him to point this thing out to me truck only has 20 thousand miles

Oh yeah doesn't surprise me at all that it's doing that. My trucks been doing that since about 20K miles and I'm at 60 something now. I have a CTS so I can clear the code when it comes up but yeah it took me awhile to find it as well. good luck with the dealership appt. at least it's still under warranty. Take care
