I don’t have any problem using factory navigation with it.
Yes, $450 is a lot of money. Sometimes I have momentary buyer's remorse, but I’d miss it if I didn’t have it.
No secret codes. There the same for every unit. :-)
I’ve only had to set the turn signal camera operation once, but the camera-while-in-motion seems to reset every time the truck is shut down.
Incidentally, it also lets you program factory nav while the truck's moving.
your Factory Nav works while you are using this?
NAVIK's told me it wouldn't.."Hi, when any of the features like camera in motion is activated the navigation will not track because our unit is making the car think the car is parked. Thank You"...
I think that would be a deal breaker if it doesn't allow you to use it
Below is the email I received from NAVIKS regarding using the factory navigation system while operating cameras:

The navigation system will not track properly when the cameras are being used in motion. If the cameras bypass is not activated or deactivated the navigation will track properly. Thank You

I never saw anything on their site about nav not working with it activated, and I never asked them. I HAVE had nav fail to track correctly a few times, but most (probably 95+%) of the time it seems to work fine. I typically use Waze for my navigation/trip planning and the factory nav for the "big picture," looking for traffic slowdowns and tie ups. I’ll watch it closer for a while.
I’ve found that the factory nav sometimes takes several minutes to track if I activate the cameras-in-motion before moving the truck. If I drive for a minute or 2 before acting the cameras factory nav seems to work normally.
With the 360* camera package no relay is required, but it costs $90 more.
This is very interesting. I might add this to my truck. Now if only it had a DVR function that would turn all 6 cameras into "Dash cams" that would be perfect.

Sure, but the cost of adding a fibre channel SAN to the truck to save all the video footage from all those cameras might be a wee bit cost-prohibitive ...

If I can have a 1080p dashcam that can record onto a microSD then this should not be an issue. I would even be fine with having a separate microSD card for each camera.
