Looks like the last thread on the NAVIKS system was last year so I am hoping for an update on performance. While expensive, I think the ability to view the rear camera on my trailer while running down the road could prevent a costly accident (don't ask me how I know this). Hoping for input from all who have installed the NAVIKS unit on their 2017+ to monitor their trailer camera while travelling.
Jim
I have the NAVIKS Nkit 1309 (SYNC 3) Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera System in Motion Bypass in my 2018 F250 Lariat Ultimate. I do not have the trailer camera set up yet but I can see the rear truck camera in motion. The icon shows up for the trailer camera. The system also shows the side of the vehicle when the turn signals are activated. The one issue with the system is it fools the truck into thinking it is in park. This makes the factory Navigation get lost. I use my phone for navigation if the system is on. It is easy to turn on or off, but the Navigation takes a while to figure out the location. I had my local shop do the install (1 hour labor).

does that mean you could shift into 4 wheel low at any speed.....
I just bought the same ride, 2018 Lariat Ultimate with Ultimate Trailer and going to set up my hauler tomorrow. That kind of sucks but I'm still using Waze anyway. I'll report back if I experience anything different.

The Lockpick I have installed in my current truck does the same thing - stalls the nav system when in use. No worries about that as we would either use Waze or the standalone GPS we use when we are towing.
Thanks,
Jim
Has anyone figured out a way to Motion Bypass the onboard cameras? Something in Forscan that will allow you to see your back up tailgate camera or side mirror camera while moving so you can check your trailer connection, automatic running boards are up, etc?
I know this is an old thread, so i might have to start a new one.
while i dont have the naviks or lockpick on my 19, i do have the nav tv cod 53,
considering that it is a module that sits behind the apim,
and yes it does fool the truck navigation depending on camera view, so that can be handled by diffrent navigation on phone, etc, or getting out of views and waiting or changing views.
there is a old thread on video in motion, or cameras unlocked on it, as this one is about naviks.
I have a quick question for anyone who has added a front camera using the NAVIKS interface. I know using the factory rear cameras while in motion will disrupt Sync 3 navigation. My question is will the navigation system resume the route once the rear camera is disabled? I don't plan to run down the highway with the cargo camera on but may on occasion want to take a quick look in the bed of the truck while driving. I'm looking at the NK-1304-FCAM module and am on the fence about adding rear camera in motion for $25 more...
