Since adding my new Ford Remote Access OEM Alarm with shock sensor, I have had several instances where I want to disable the shock sensor because of thunder or ground vibration that sets it off. Anyone know if there is a valet mode to disable but still permit me to lock the truck? Do I need to add a Valet switch?
No sir. It's a Ford Add-On alarm that connects using the OBD2 port. There are no menu options. I assume the 2 pin connection that is unused might be for a Valet switch, just not sure.
On the Ford add on there is a dial setting for shock sensor. Mine is dialed down to 1/8 turn to avoid Harley riders setting my alarm off while parked in driveway..
The 2 pin is for an LED for dash.
There's another 2 pin that if looped together does..... Something, I just cannot recall.... It MAY override the shock sensor..
Someone will chime in.
