AC Issues

Bought the truck in January, 2017 f250 with 9k miles on it when I got it...with the recent heat here in Houston I have found the AC to be underwhelming compared to my other vehicles. Took the truck in to the dealer today, asked them to check the system. They came back saying refrigerant level is low. They looked for a leak but could not find one. Truck staying at dealership overnight so they can do some more investigating. I wonder if possibly it was just not filled up all the way when it was built.

No, it was up to spec when it left the factory. You have a leak. They will use a sniffer or marker dye to run it down.

It appears that your a/c was overcharged initially...they removed more from it than the fill spec. Overcharged is as problematic as being under charged.
Here's a good explanation:

Interesting. That's what I thought it said, but the desk service tech said it was under filled, so i wasn't sure...
