remote panic disable
The reason to disable the panic button. When I put the keys in my pocket the darn thing goes off. Even taking the keys out it goes off. I don't see any use for it. And it just pisses me off. You had a good question. Any ideas?

Thanks. I was wondering, because my new-to-me truck has a panic button too. I wondered if there was something I should know. That hasn't happened to me yet, but it's liable to with as much crap as i carry around in my pockets!! I don't have any idea how to disable it, but surely somebody on this site will have some suggestions.

You can take the thing apart and saratch the round little metallic spot that is behind the panic button and it will never work again!
All other functions will work as befor. I did this to my 97 ford, I now have a 2001 psd and the remote is a better design because its not a problem like the 97 was. Good luck
