Angry Nav Update

2016 F150 Lariat Factory Nav Updates
My factory nav is seriously out of date, version 1-14. Many new roads and changes that make it useless. Have to use my portable Garmin.
Tried the Ford nav update page from something called Here. Just got a " update not available message". Phoned their service line and was told they don't handle Ford F 150 updates any more and the dealer now is the one to speak too.
Called my dealer and they didn't know anything about it. This is a very good dealer and they are looking into it. Wondering if anyone else has come up with a solution???

Not sure with Sync 3 but our Sync 2 it is a SD card you have to replace. I just got one off ebay for $60. A9, I think is the newest one.

There was an update available awhile back but I read on here a few weeks back that it can no longer be purchased. It was an actual USB drive that could be purchased from Ford and it was $150.00. The dealer that was selling it is Griffin Ford in GA so you might want to give them a call and see it anything has changed.

Have a great weekend.

So we can no longer update the factory navigation? That is a costly option to become out of date in a short space of time! I'll have to check when I take it into a mtce appointment next week.

I was told by my dealership when I bought the truck that the updates for sync, and navigation as well, are now through the wifi in the truck. You set it up at your house and do the updates that way. That's with sync 3.

Sync 3 updates via WiFi. The NAV is updated via thumbdrive, costs $150 and can only be ordered thru the dealer or website.

The NAV is acquired by Ford from HERE Navigation, a third party company.

I haven't bothered with an update, I use Android Auto and Google maps or Waze, why pay for an update, Apple Auto has similar apps and features.

This shows that the Superduty has a "just released" update. Maybe the F150 is next.

The letter I got from Ford on Saturday offered the Sync 2018/19-version "A9" Nav Card for the Fords for $149.00 & free delivery.
I scored the same card on FleaBay for under US$45 delivered. Arrives from Calif. either Sat or Monday.

No update for me. Checked the update site and it says. A lot of these things are not really functional in Canada it seems.

Thank you for your interest in a navigation update for your SYNC 3 system.
This Product Is Currently Unavailable.

When the map updates via USB for SYNC 3 equipped F150`s become available again, that`s when they`ll also become available for SYNC 3 equipped SD`s.
