Soooo I've tracking a 2017 Platinum that was supposed to be delivered to a dealer on 03/25/2017 according to Cotus. I went down there struck a deal and waited for the truck to arrive. It never did, dealer is trying to figure out where it is. On the Cotus website on Friday the 24th it said 0 days to delivery. Now it does not list any days at all, it shipped on 03/14/2016. Still just says in transit, I wonder how often Cotus is updated...
Any idea what the hold up could be? Also dealer told me I couldn't pick it up today even if it arrived because it has to go through PDI and service is closed. Is that true? Can't they just skip that part?
Anyways was just curious if anyone else had experience the same thing, I'm just hoping the truck wasn't sent to another dealer or is severely delayed.
Can't go by cotus at all. Mine was 3/26, then 3/21, then 3/23, then 3/25. It actually showed up 3/24 when cotus said 3/25. Trust me I know the pain of seeing no days left and the truck not being there. The dealer has another system that tracks exactly where it is. I could see when it left Kentucky and the points along the route it hit. Mine was in philly for over a week waiting to be delivered by truck. Now what takes a week to get it an hour down the road, beats me. So now mine sits at the dealer waiting for linex, I hope I can't get it Thursday. For time reference mine left Kentucky 3/9 got to train yard on 3/16 and delivered 3/24.
You were probably like me and checking cotus every 10 minutes. Just be patient it will get there, just remember the dealer has something better then cotus and he can tell if it's at the train yard waiting for final transport.
Yes it has to go thru PDI that is a ford requirement, you waited this long and you want to make sure you get everything checked out. Last thing you need is something wrong and they say oh well you didn't let us do PDI.
Early bird gets the worm I guess doesn't always apply. Cool story, I see how excited you are to get possession of her, but my guess would be the transporter made a drop-off prior to your dealer, he could even be at a truck stop for an over-nite etc. it is the weekend after all too.

Good luck
The early bird may get the worm, but the early worm gets eaten...
