Wheel well liners

I had factory installed wheel well liners on my last truck but most 2018's I've seen are coming through these days without them. Whats the concensus on these, do they help or hurt as far as corrosion goes and how hard are they to install afterwards on the new F250? Thanks.

I think they are worth it particularly if you drive on gravel a lot or live in an area like me where they use salt and other nasty stuff on the roads during the winter. To be honest I think they should be standard equipment and it burns me up we have to pay extra for the "option". Just my 2 cents.

Hope this helps.

My 2011 and 2015 trucks did not have these. The 2017 truck I got does and I like them
Not sure if they will trap stuff that corrodes the bed, But this is an aluminum body, So maybe not as big a deal a the previous steel bodies

They did make installing the air bags a little tougher.

My 2018 XL didn't come with them, I ordered some aftermarket and will be installing them tonight. Higher trim levels come standard. I have had my truck on a few dirt/mud roads and aside from wear and tear, it also is kind of a pain to have to clean.

Can anyone post a picture of a front liner installed? All I've seen are the rears. Thanks.

I agree, on a 62k XLT they should definitly be standard! If I end up buying a truck without them I will probably try to order the OEM ones unless they are a ridiculous price. Is any drilling required or are the screw holes there already?

I never had them before, but after seeing them on a lot truck while there ordering my '19, thought "good idea", so I now have them. I also think they should be standard for what these trucks cost.

I'm also curious what these take to install aftermarket. All my previous vehicles had liners on them, so I assumed they were standard and the 'wheel well liners' line on the option sheet were for some kind of upgraded one. When the truck came in, I was disappointed to realize they didn't have any at all.

I installed liners on the rear of my SRW. It does take some wrangling of the plastic to get them to slide in and get positioned...might be a good idea to wear some gloves.

Now I never hear stones hitting my wheel wells...before the liners it sounded like guns going off at a shooting range when on a rock covered road.

I have a buddy who has installed a set, he said it was very easy, just two screws that go in factory holes. Not sure about the fit. I only ordered the rears for now.

On the front, that's the standard felt that all Super Duties come with. I'm talking about the actual liners that are added as an option, like the rears you show.

Past posts, and one from me also, report that the OEM liners fit better and are easier to install than other brands. I had all 4 of mine installed in 30 minutes.

Sorry, I don’t remember the cost but was referred to a Ford Dealership on Ebay that beats the prices of many other Ford dealerships. Hopefully someone will chime in that remembers their name so you can shop around and get the best price. I also bought the center console lock box from them.
PS-Here you go. I would still recommend checking locally also to get the best price.
