Upgrading XLT Dash

Hey guys I am looking at buying a new super duty soon and have been looking st several models. I wanted a XLT Value pkg with Sync3 if I didn’t go with a Lariat as I’m fine without leather. The catch is unless I order a 19 and wait till Xmas (at best) I may not be able to get that, but they do have a XLT with 603a but the plain radio.

I know in terms of everything else I can add it to the truck and build it up but I was mainly concerned about the radio and a back up camera for hooking up trailers. I was just curious if anyone had any advice on adding an aftermarket setup to a XLT to 1/ have better audio and 2/ install a backup camera. This would be other than the retrofit Sync3 kit 4d offers, I’m not so concerned about Nav as I hardly used it in my last truck. Thanks!

You can add the factory backup camera and yes, it`ll work with an aftermarket radio as well or you can go aftermarket on both.

2018 have the back up camera, even mine with out sync and the basic radio had it. Its plug and play and it works the same on the aftermarket radio as it does on the stock one

My 2018 XLT value package came with Sync (not sync 3). It has the 4.2 inch screen and a backup camera.

The Maestro FTR1 dash kit. Kenwood head unit. Android Auto is nice for navigation and music. The iDatalink Maestro RR interface is nice too to add gauges, etc. I added the OEM rear camera as well.
