Morning everyone.
Finished up the oil cooler during the week.Oil change, filter etc, etc. The coolant was green, and I had to drain the rest of the coolant
from the block from the block heater/oil cooler.Could not get the plugs out of the block.Im going to use Fleetcharge going back in
to the engine.I suspect there may be a little green still in the block.
Is this going to be a issue??I really don't have the ability to flush the system out using water. Is a little remaining green coolant
left be asking for trouble??
Thanks.Bill.
By my calculations,i got almost 19 quarts out of the system when I drained it.Factory Ford manual says 20 quart capacity.
I have to think that small amount,if any, would not be a issue.
Thanks Ben,going to go for it.
Bill
A lot comes out of the drain plugs. The one above the starter isn't to bad because it has a square head. The other side one is a B!tch to get out so just pull the block heater. You will not believe how much comes out.
