Yeah. I seen their 0w-40 is on the list but not 5w-40. To bad, Mobil usually makes a pretty good product. I think I'll stick to the old cj delo400le synthetic oil.
It seems that Ford is OK with a straight CK-4 oil, as long as it is designed only for diesel use and does not also carry an SN rating so, that oil should be fine.
Not sure how old your truck is or how many miles, if it's still under warranty, no way would I use something that's not on the list, why set yourself up for a hassle god forbid something goes sideways. If not under warranty, your decision, personally I would stick with stuff that's on the list. Maybe that's one of the reasons it's so cheap? BCG is correct on the straight CK-4 oil, but only if its manufactured prior to I believe December 2014 (don't take that date as gospel)
