I love this stuff. I've been using 5W-30 in all my vehicles. Not sure I fully understand the plastic molecules tangling and untangling will have to read that a couple times for it to sink in

I've only used 5w-20 for my 2015 6.2 because that is what is specified but then Ford changed the spec to 5w-30 shortly after.
as far as I know we have never gotten an official explanation why. Most folks use the 5w-30. It probably wouldn't affect me as I live in tropical southeast Texas.

I run 15w40 in my 6.4 3 seasons out of the year cuase I doubt like the sound of it on 5w40
i run 10w40 during the winter
as much as I like the theory of why 5w40 can be used all year....in practice... the valve train chatter under 5w40 is just too annoying for me.
