Torque or firestone 2600 clearance problems

Anyone had any issues with these? I got the torque 2600 and when loaded, the upper brackets make contact with the lower brackets and it can be felt/heard going over bumps. Looking at it, I dont see any way around this without modifying the brackets so they cant hit. I'm thinking about lowering the lower mount as well. Saw a pic of this before, but forgot who posted it with the daystar cradles.

Anyone have a better idea?

First and most important; 20 PSI is way to low for that kind of pin weight. Second; the literature that came with my Firestone 2600s state that 20 PSI is the MINIMUM for unloaded driving. My guess is if you ran the prescribed pressure your contact would go away. I run mine 20 PSI empty and they feel just fine.

You are correct. 20 is low. I run them at 45, but doesn't change the fact that the metal hits before the bump stop. So with 45 psi, they dont hit nearly as much, but hit a big pothole on the highway and you can feel it pretty badly. I used the pic at 20 just to show how close the brackets are together. You are also correct that when empty seems like no problems. I think that when empty, I haven't hit anything hard enough to compress the spring enough to make contact.

See if you can contact Tricon. He may be able to chime in with his experience. I've got the Torque bags on my F250, but my truck does not have helper springs like those shown in the photos above ... so basically, I'm no help to you. I will say that the bag in the photos above looks very deflated / compressed.

Do you have an F250 or 350? Here's mine with 500 lbs in the bed (and Daystar cradles), it doesnt change that much all the way up to 1700 lbs. After 1700 lbs it starts to dip, but I've never even come close to how compressed yours is. Are you sure about the weight you're putting in the bed?

Also, looking at the brackets, are you sure you have it installed correctly? Each bracket piece, both left and right and front and rear are different, they all look similar, but they are all slightly different. My pic is the passenger side front you are looking at, and you bracket looks like one of the rear pieces to me....maybe?

Thanks Tricon. Sorry, forgot to mention it's a 17 F350 CCLB SRW. I haven't weighed the camper, but I should. Listed weight is 2200 plus 40 gallons of water. I'm probably over weight some. Truck with all my add ons, plus tailgate and tools is 8800lbs.
the first set of brackets I got were all wrong. 2nd set seemed to fit. They weren't labeled, so not sure if they are in the right spot, but they wouldn't fit any other way.
when I run them at 60 I'm right at unloaded height and they dont hit very often. Could just live with it. Or I could try to drop the bump stops some. Thinking I will clearance the brackets a little. Just wondering if I was the only person having this problem. Because that would suggest that everyone else is wrong and I'm right!

or maybe it means I screwed something up again which probably makes more sense. Just dont tell my wife!
