How much tire pressure did you have? Most trucks I have seen on the beach are very low, something like 15 psi.

That is never fun. If that ever happens again let your air pressure down to around 18psi and I will probably drive right out on its own. Provided it is not high centered. Thats what works for us in the dunes on the west coast. A winch or tow strap and a buddy is always nice to have as well. Well at least you are out now and onto a better day hopefully.

That's why. I lower to 15-20 psi when I hit the sand.

I don't think your 2 helpers are gonna hold the winch cable ! Was there anything to hook up to ? I spent a long night stuck on a beach once many moons ago....I had a winch. But nothing to hook to

Street tires dont do good in the sand you need a set of these

Or even better yet a set of these TrXus STS | Interco Tire they are an awesome set of tires what I would call a TRUE A/T tire. I liked them A LOT the only down fall to them is when you get in the deep mud like I like to play in they wernt that good heres a pic of the set I had, for sand you cant ask for much better!

I beat the tire up and it was bleeding

I live in the high desert so trees are very far and few so many of us have these:

Pull-Pal winch anchoring device testimonials and quotes

There are others and many of the 4X4 shops out here carry these type of sand anchors for self-rescue

Here is another option: http://www.4wheelparts.com/Winches-a...t_pn=ARBARB230

Ya right. The balder the tires, the better off you are. Need low tire pressure and bald tires. Aggressive tires just dig out the sand too quick.

Thats the great thing about the STSs they dont dig like you think they would, which is why I went with the mud grapplers because I needed a set to dig. They are awesome in sand unless youve had a set I wouldnt expect you to have a clue
