Salvaged front suspension from 76 F150 at least 20 years ago and by the time I replaced pads, turned rotors and hoses it came to around the cost of purchased a quality front disc. kit? If I were to upgrade to front disc today I would consider going with the kit. Another option would be to compile a list of items needed for the upgrade and have salvage yard remove the items, to include a return policy and then compare cost. My experience with salvaging the front suspension from wrecking yard when I took the unit in to replace the bushings found axle bushing was not within limits I returned the item and then it was a matter of locating and salvaging yet another unit and hoping there are no issues, once is enough.
