8 lug wheels on a 6.50" bolt circle: 1953/96 F250; 1967/98 F350; 1969/74 E300; 1975/2014 E250/350; 1997/98 F250 Heavy Duty.
F250/350's went to metric wheels in 1999, but no Econoline of any year has metric wheels,

Bill - to my understanding the F-250 HD jumped 1998. My 1997 was the last of the old body style, then the new Super Duty version came out in late 1998 as a 1999 model. Which would mean that the F-250 light duty was the only one offered as a 1998. So, did it get the oddball seven lug wheels, or did it get the 8 x 6.5” as a carry over from the older trucks and vans? Thx. Stu

In one section of the 1990/2001 parts catalog, 1998 F250 H/D & F350 use the same parts as like 1997's. In other sections, there is no 1988 F250 H/D & F350 listed.
1987/88 F250 Light Duty use the 7 lug wheels, this truck looks just like the new 1997 F150. It was not one of FoMoCo's better ideas.

In late 1997 I was shopping for my new HD truck (still have it and love it) so did a lot of homework as Ford was making the transition from old to new body styles. I got big discounts on the 460 and old body style. At the same time one of my buddies was doing the same, but he bought a new 1999 Super Duty right when they were released. Paid for the privilege! I asked my salesman about the 1998 F250 light duty and was told it was a F-150 with stiffer springs. “Never mind”. I was thinking they have the seven lug wheels but wasn’t positive about it. Stu
