PATS

not really sure if this goes here. but i know you guys know our stuff. my mother in law has a 2002 mustang GT with he 4.6 v8. only has one key and fob for it. do i need 2 keys to program a spare???
and does it even have a PATS key??? or just a plain ole walmart style key???

Consult the owner's manual, that's all covered in it.

Yes you need 2 to make a 3rd yourself. If you only have one then you'll need to bring it to the dealer or a locksmith...a locksmith being the less expensive route. To know if it has PATS, turn the ignition on but don't start and see if a Theft light comes on the dash for a few seconds then goes out. If it does you have PATS.
