New 2017 F-250!Lariat. I’ve used the remote start feature and get different experiences when entering the cab. Sometimes the seat a/c is on, sometimes the seat heater. I’ve heard a fan running inside the upright drivers seat and back of seat hot; no seat heater lights on but when I cycle the switch the fan turns off.
Have read the manual and if I am understanding correctly, things that were left on prior to turning the vehicle off will come back on when vehicle is remotely started?
Am I on track or is there a setting feature for what should come on automatically with remote start?
I don't think it has anything to do with how the seat was set before. I don't know if there is a rhyme or reason to it. I think the truck says it is summer, turn on cooked seats. If it's winter, turn on heated seats. If I have my seats set at 2 bars in cooling, it usually is on 3 bars if I remote start. I've just come to accept the weirdness of it
Via the Instrument Cluster menu, there should be two options under Remote Start: Auto (where the truck decides what to turn on (heat, AC, etc)) and Last Settings that the user had running.
Yeah. The truck sense the temperature and either heats or cools the cabin. If you have the seats selected in the remote start menu it will either heat or cool them. I have the seat option turned off.
When using remote start the seat will turn on heat or cool based on the inside cab temp. If I'm parked in the sun and it 30 outside, my cooling will turn on. Not sure why there is no temp setting for when they should come on.

I'll check tomorrow, but pretty sure I have the right settings selected. Sometimes it just selects on its own. Seat stays on correct lumbar settings 90%of time but that sometimes goes off the reservation also. I've just learned to live with it
