Another 2015-16 Change

At 23k miles I continue to note small changes from the previous gens. When I remote start my 2015 Platinum in cold weather, it also activates the seat warmers. That's a nice feature and did not happen in my 2013.

thanks
john

I wish my 06 turned on the heated seats when I remote start it

We bought our 2015 Limited last week. We have used the remote start quite a bit but haven't noticed that it heats the seats. I will watch for it in the future. I set up the remote start to turn the hvac on using the last settings. There isn't a option to turn on or off the heated or cooled seats. I do wish it would have the option to default to defrost in the winter.

On mine, the seat indicators are not lit when I enter the car, but the drivers seat is definitely warm, I haven't checked the passenger sets.

I did some experimenting. The vehicle seems to remember the last settings when you shut it off. If you have the heated seats on then they will be on the next time remote start is used. It was a feature I wish my '13 had.

Edit to add: It was 3 degrees outside when I checked this. I didn't try the air conditioned seats for obvious reasons.

It also defrosts the rear window. If yours is not doing this there are settings for this in the menu on the left side of the cluster, I think it's buried in some advanced settings menu but I know I saw it in there. I believe it looks at the temperature and if it's cold it blasts the heat, seat warmers and defrost. I have not use it in the summer but I assume it will blast the AC and cool the seats. Definitely a great feature.

If you are referring to the right rear quarter glass not defogging that has been resolved. I traded a '13 limited on this '15 and the 13 had the defogger in the glass. The 15 has those lines but they are an antenna instead of defogger. When I looked before I traded I thought it had the defogger. It looks just like any other defogger window. I'm not happy about it but it is what it is.
