Wow! I'm embarrassed to say my google skills and searching here have really failed me. Can anyone tell me the engine oil drain plug torque for a 2017 super duty 6.7L diesel. Also, is there a crush washer/ plug gasket that needs to be replaced? I'm ready to do my first change and these are the last two things i need to figure out. Thanks
Fumoto valve; never looked back. I think they recently changed names Shop online EZ Oil Drain Valve | OilDrainValve.net
I installed as part of first oil change last winter. I can't seem to find the order but iirc $30 ish with the new swivel.
Yeah, my bad. I just cannot find my receipt, am sure it was FUMOTO now: Fumoto® USA | Quick and Easy Engine Oil Drain Valves. It was part F-111 for my old 7.3L but for the life of me I cannot recall the thread size/part # for the 6.7L. F-316L with swivel is listed in post#5 here. I am pretty sure that's it, and is $33 now according to their site.
I got the swivel version this time around and it's even better especially with the oil pan angle. the valve also tames to oil geyser I experienced the only time I removed the plug...and set it aside for good.

Reason: wrong attachment, supposed to be a link.

I ordered the Fumoto F106SX M14-1.5 Sx Series Drain Valve. To install it, I used a shop vac on the filler valve to keep oil in the drain pan with the oil plug removed. It worked real slick.

2X!
I used the same trick on the old 7.3. Works like a champ!
[Non-answer, mostly]
I'm still rocking a 2000 F250 Diesel (7.3L)
I've never measured my torque for the drain plug.
I'm guessing I use around 15 lb*ft
which has worked well for 20 years.
BTW, I'm always surprised when loosening the drain plug--because I can probably
get it 75-80% of the way out, stop, stare at it, and still not see the first drop of oil!

Reason: add humor
I just snug my oil drain plugs too but here's the spec for your 6.7 from the Ford OEM Service Manual
Thanks I've been looking for this info myself. Anyone knows when a Hanyes or Chilton manual will come out. I've looked online without any success finding a repair manual from a reliable source.
