I moved the TFI module on my 87 Mustang from the distributor to the rear of the left inner fender:

Wires
#1 is where the ICM/TPI should be. Nada.
#2 these wires disappear into the harness just the other side of these plugs.

How would you guys proceed?

This means your model already has the TFI module moved to the alternate location. So it shouldn't be having the overheating issue that the older versions had.

Might that be a PIP sensor?

Also the capacitor by the coil looks rough. Thoughts?
