So to have the phone start to work do you NEED the DATA plan from Verizon?

Here are the part numbers for the remote start and the FordPass unit for a 2018. Note key fob needs to be ordered separately (if desired).

I believe if you have Verizon you can add it for 10/ month and if not it is 16.99/ month. Purchase includes 2 years of service.

The data plan is if you want to make the SmartLink a WiFi hotspot. That is an additional cost. Buying the Smartlink alone includes 2 years of SmartLink service (no WiFi hotspot).
