Couple weeks ago one of my neighbors in the next development from me had their 17 350 stolen. They drove it away and currently cruising around in Mexico.
They had some Gps thing through their insurance that shows when the vehicle is stopped.
Now they are stuck without anything to tow their fifth wheel. They are in process of trying to special order one with the options they want as their stolen one was a special order one as well
What do you guys use if anything to try and keep this from happening? Homes in my area don’t really have garages big enough for trucks so most park outside

Their next one should be equipped with intelligent access which includes push button start as well as interior motion sensors and this means they will have to step up to the Lariat trim level.

Easily bypassed with a signal amplifier. It takes less time to steal a car with intelligent access and push button than it does a physical key. Watch the videos I posted above.
While it might be a hassle, maybe get a battery quick disconnect and disconnect your battery every night. The hassle of the truck not starting for a thief would probably deter him.
Or trip the fuel inertia switch every night instead so you don’t have to reset your electronics after the battery disconnect.
Sorry for his loss......over here it's the tractors!
As our society continues to twist and turn into this socially engineered PC world it will continue to suck.
vigilance is a 24/7 life style now not, an option to think about. Hope he gets his new truck soon.
