Many trailer boaters swear by it in Florida. Some keep a pump up sprayer on the truck to spray the axle, brakes and hubs down with with they splash the boat. Others run it through their outboards periodically to keep the cooling passages clear.
Forgive my Floridian ignorance, but why would you put PVC shims between the hubs and rims? Galvanic corrosion?
the shins prevent corrosion and make it easy to unmount the wheels.
I had to use a tourch to heat up the rear dually rims .....guess I waited to long too install the shims.
the below are for 10 bolt hubs , they make them for 8 bolt hubs as well
and yes, the contact area on the rims were pitch black from corrosion .....iron and aluminum don’t play well together
Decided against painting in a bed liner this time. I installed a duraliner this morning and couldn’t be happier. Took all of 15 mins to put it in and it looks great.
Well I must be the only one modifying their 2019...
Carli Backcountry 2.5 full rear deavers
Fuel Warrior 20x9 +20, Toyo Open Country RT's 37x12.5
Also did some Forscan mods, getting rid of the double honk is a godsend!
hey, I have the same Carli kit as you but didn't do the rear springs.. how much higher does your rear sit? is there a noticeable rake?
Had a new windshield installed due to a longhorn looking crack. Safelite took care of it and recalibrated the camera for lane keep assist and what not. Everything went well, so I ceramic coated it with leftover adams stuff. Damn, rain can bead! Installed my SOTF with bracket for a clean look. Threw on a SPE CAC “cold side” pipe to handle my booost.
