Seems like it is made from cast metal, can that be welded? I actually thought one of the fork tubes was bent but this part would definitely crack before one of those tubes bent.

Oh, he'd try and spend a week grinding it and trying to make it straight again.... Some stuff he fixed, some was a waste of time. You had a line on parts before, right? Hope you can get what you need. Darn shame to see a man left shiftless......

Give Holst Truck Parts a call, they are in Idaho, have a big trans. shop, and probably know what you need...have all the model/tag numbers you can find before you call.
800 769-5688 or 208 482-5103

No luck

Finally got what I think the part number is for this piece (C8TZ-7E274-A), but it appears it is not available any more. Tried all the usual places and thought I had a line on a used one from ProGear, but they sent the wrong piece. Going to try to have the broken one tig welded next, YIKES. Will post a picture if successful. I ran into a 67 international dump truck the other day that came stock with a Fuller 5 speed, someone had transplanted an Alison in it. Will have to research if that was ever an option for my truck if in fact parts are this rare for Clarks. Would really like to make the Clark work though, its a tough old bird and its what came in the truck originally.

Got the transmission fixed (or nearly) finally. Pretty much everything connected to the shift **** down to the actual gears had to be replaced or rebuilt. Good news is that it seems to shift ok now and the shifter is no longer popping out of the gates. Bad news is that, no matter how you shift it or at what speed, it will not shift down from third to second without coming to a full stop. Its not that big a deal as I only use it for plowing snow, but, possible bad synchro gear?
