My front right locking hub doesn't seem to want to lock all the way, and when I do lock it it doesn't want to unlock. I pulled the cover off and i couldn't push it all the way in like I could the left side. This is what it looks like
I'd replace the lockouts and be done with it but the fact that the middle part is off center has me worried. Should I replace the wheel bearing as well? There doesn't seem to be any play but compared to the driver side it looks wrong
OK the axle joint isn't the problem then. Have you had these hubs apart before? After looking at it again it is possible the hub may not be assembled correctly, you probably should take the guts of the hub out anyway and inspect for damage but also try to verify that the parts are inserted correctly, I know with some of them the main locking collar can be installed either way and in one orientation it doesn't lock.
