Winter will be here before we know it and I'm curious what everyone uses to protect their paint.
I have been using Klasse acrylic and it's been great. I made this video after sealing and then waxing my truck this weekend and was blown away by the results.
Looking for more ideas and suggestions if anyone has something they feel really strongly about. Thank you.
I use the same products for all of my cars and trucks. Personally use the Rupes polishers(polish once a year usually) and the Pinnacle Black Diamond Sealant every 3 to 4 months and once a month the Pinnacle Black diamond Synergy wax. This may be overkill for most but it keeps everything in car show condition.
I let the rain keep mine clean. In all seriousness, I run my trucks through the car wash maybe once every few months, and might have it washed and waxed/detailed once every few years. When its clean, all the dings and scratches from use are more obvious.
Is there any pre-treating that needs to be done before applying the Klasse other than a wash?

Great question. Nothing special. The better the surface the better it will work. You can layer it on another sealant or wax. If your paint is in pretty good condition I would just put it on and not worry about it.

Thanks,
I did a complete clay bar, polish and wax this spring. The truck sits in a garage unless its towing a trailer, so maybe I could get away with applying it over what I have. How hard is it to remove? do you need the extra spray to get it off or do you just recommend that? Only curious as I want to order what I need once.

Man I wish I could get my truck in my garage. I built a second garage 4 years before I even thought about buying a truck and I should have built it 4 feet longer!
The Klasse does take a little bit of elbow grease to remove...it's not bad but it also doesn't just wipe off. I used the spray sealant to help remove it and it works great and makes the job very easy.
I would buy the sealant with the Klasse and call it a day.

Best.
The only reason its garaged is because I have an open flat stall in my shop, otherwise it would be sitting outside like most everyone elses.
I tried a lot (dozens) of sealants on my vehicles probably about 10 years ago. Klasse/Werstat/Carlack were the best for me all around. They did the best at protecting against water spots and lasted as long as anything I tried. This was back when ceramic coatings were more of a novelty. I still use Carlack (pretty much the same as Klasse and Werstat--before Werkstat closed shop) and I like it. Most people have moved to ceramics. A spritz of Zaino Z8 or similar premium spray sealant will take off any streaking that can come about from the acrylics.
