What a weekend. If it wasn't for the front cover issue, we'd probably be done with the truck. Did get the backup sensor rewired and can get rid of my redneck wiring job. So I feel productive as I call it a long weekend before going back to work.
The next list of little things that you find when you think it's all good:
Core support bushing mounts need replaced, carrier bearing, front and rear U-joints, engine to engine hump grounds need new connectors, and need a new thermostat o-ring. Header panel is broken and need to order another one. Still haven't got to doing the front brake lines yet, but will not be as bad with a new ABS pump to go with them.
List of things left to do is getting smaller each time. Just hope that once these big things get out of the way I'll be that much closer to wiring everything back up and going for the test drive. This is turning more into a restoration titan instead of a simple engine swap.
Now the wait for more parts continues until we can go any farther with the truck.
First time you go around the block, it will be worth it!!
I hope so. Replacing the carrier bearing, front and rear ujoints, and put the transmission crossmember back in and filling that with fluid. Waiting on parts from LMC to put the front end back together. Driving around the block will be a lot closer!
November rain, you suck.. A side note, I'll be getting out of the Army soon, possibly by December. Gonna have to get as much done now while i still can working 6 days a week now, and packing up my house stuff the best I can at nights. Super long story, but short and skinny, I'm not needed anymore. No need to be sorry or anything, actually looking forward to normal life again. So in the meantime, time to get real for work and hope ill get time next Saturday night and Sunday to get stuff done. Been on 24hr shift, so I'm off to get a nap.
Not yet!! Got the core support kind of hooked up. I'm transitioning out of the Army in 9 days, so after that I'll have time to get it done. Pretty much looking at a fastenall run and get different hardware. The OE is shot, and I had to cut a lot of rusty bolts off. I'm just going to use grade 8 custom hardware to make it work. Maybe a trip to the salvo yard to get some it, idk yet. Really close to being done, but hit a wall with time recently.

I hear ya man. Just wondered how it was going. Hope it all works out soon enough.
