Before mounting the transmission make sure you do the drain tube mod, that way if you have a future leak on the valley you wont get oil/fuel slinging in your clutch.
Well, I'm ready for this weekend. Looking forward to getting everything hooked back up and possibly get to start the truck again. Ran into a snag with the water pump. Bolt sheared off and we are trying to drill it out. But it's a perfect time to go ahead and get the IH water pump in there afterwards. Coolant filtration built in will be pretty nice once we change out the old style coolant overflow bottle and put in the new closed cap radiator system. Lots of little details and still need to pull the fender off to get the new core support in.
Got the new heater core in this morning while i wait for my buddy to wake up. Was there a new rubber grommet for the core,or did your guys just use high temp RTV to seal the spaces?
I can't catch a break. This Bolt is not busting loose. And I'm not about to try and take this front cover off to do it. Already broke 3 bolt outs trying to do it.

I guess I should have looked for it before i changed it out.
Pulling the front cover. 10 steps forward, 11 steps back. I hope eventually this truck can fire off. Stuck dealing with rusted bolts and hope this water pump bolt comes off. Wish this was an engine rebuild, because this is crazy how torqued these bolts are.
