6.0 problems
If the ifp was also bad it would not start would it?
I checked all plugs that I could have unplugged but found none.
Does anyone know where I now need to look.
The truck ran but had no power when I changed the turbo plus is was blowing smoke out of it.
All help or suggestions are really appreciated.
Thanks
Alton
Were they both on the back of the motor next to the turbo or was one on the passenger side valve cover at the front?
It is throwing a lot of codes
p102 mass airflow low input
p0113 intake air temp circuit high input
p2290 inj control pressure too low (not sure what this should be) but ae shows what is required and actual is the same.
The truck starts good as quick as always and idles good with no problem but has no power or torque on scan it shows the torque does not rise much with higher rpms.
There are other codes but none relating to engine, like seat belt and air bag.
P0102
Open circuit in the MAF V-Ref (vref) circuit or possibly a PCM short to PWR GND or signal -return circuits.
P0113
IAT low: -40 *F. This is the code for a disconnected MAF. Agaim, P0113 and P1102 could be caused by a broken/damaged Vref wire at the Mass air flow sensor.
Pull up the MAF pid and IAT1 pid on your scanner and watch them very closely while you wiggle the harness right where it goes into the connector up and down and side to side. If you see any fluctuation in it while wiggling it, then you would definitely want to replace that connector with a new pigtail.
P2290 (running code) on a 2003-2004.25 6.0L is most likely caused by, in order of likelihood:
1- Failing, cracked and leaking ICP sensor and oil damaged wiring at the sensor
2- A weak or failing High Pressure Oil Pump
3- IPR valve
This is a "running" operation code. P 2291 is a similar code, but is more of a "cranking" code.
The codes can be from an actual mechanical failure or even faulty programming.
So, since you replaced the ICP and the IPR, did you replace the ICP harness/connector?
