i read all of those before posting but I should have clarified that I have 36k on the clock now. It hasn’t gotten worse then it did when it had no miles on it. It’s just always been ****ty.
I installed the PowerStop Z36 pads on mine, front and rear, and it helped not only feel better when towing but also reduced brake dust pretty dramatically. On top of that, they were really well priced!
I am talking about ceramic rotors not pads... They are dustless pretty much. Aftermarket pads have been spotty in the past for me on trucks and jeeps..
I have carbon ceramic on the Z06, you'd never use that in a tow vehicle...
Might not be able to stop the dust.... But,
i am am experimenting with different products to slow the stickage to the wheels...
So far scrubbed clean and turltewax ICE spray wax..made cleaning easier... But still clings to wheel.
Just rescrubbed.... And used Adam's Machine paint sealant,by hand, and hand buffed off , gonna top with Adam's H2o Guard and Gloss in 24hrs after sealant cures... Hopefully hydrophobic properties will also help with dust clinging, or make super easy to wipe off.... We will see
I was just going to post about this same issue, and I think I had posted before in one of the earlier posts. I just got back from a 2k mile round trip 95% highway driving, and mine were horrible, especially front right. Wondered if I had an issue. Sounds like it may be normal.
