Currently running 35x12.50 Toyo M/T on American Force aluminum wheels
I am getting excessive brake dust, especially on the front wheels. It's so bad that my wheels will be brown in a week or less with normal driving and no towing. The dust has already pitted my aluminum wheels and I have to wash them at least once a week so it doesn't get worse.
Am I the only one or are others experiencing this issue?
Any ideas on aftermarket brake pads I could get that may be better?
Been reading that quite a few are experiencing brake dust build up. I've only got 850 miles so far and I keep the rims washed frequently - trying to stay ahead of the issue -- so far so good.
^^^ I'm the same way. Haven't noticed them to be too bad yet. I'm on black Hostile wheels with 37's. I'm having the truck ceramic coated in the next few months, going to have the wheels done too...which should help.
I've never had any truck dust this bad and I've owned 6 Super Duty trucks. I've got 3,000 miles on it and I can't believe how bad the dust is, it's crazy

Brent, I having the exact same problem with my 2013 F250 , did you ever find a solution? brake pads?
Yep the amount of brake dust on these trucks is absurd. Never seen so much in my life in such a short time lol. All i know is when its time for new brakes, I'll be going with Powerstop Z36 pad/rotor combo.
Someday Ford designers will realize they should make brake dust and wheels match...then no one will complain. My black Lariat Sport wheels are brown in 2 weeks after a good wash, but then again when you live in the midwest there are so many things that make your truck dirty, brake dust just seems to fit in.
Sorry guys but it isn't a Ford problem, it's industry wide. I've put two sets (3 including the OEM pads) on my wife's Honda Odyssey and I'm looking for something else due to the excessive brake dust. I had ceramic Hawk pads on my F150 and they were clean but they don't make them for an Odyssey. I have Hawk Performance LTS pads on my 250 and they aren't terrible, definitely better than OEM.
My experience was not good w/ aftermarket brakes. I tried EBC and a Powerstop pad/rotor combo. The EBC's made more dust than OEM, and the Powerstop's made about the same dust as OEM, in my opinion. The only positive to the Powerstop's, was the dust was a different color than OEM, and less noticeable in my opinion.
