Excursion
For a quicker reply, I'd post this in the ' Excursion - King of SUVs ' thread

The Dieselsite Adrenaline pump is excellent.

CNCFab sells one that has a good following also, and is cheaper.

I wouldn't go back w/ OEM.
Book time would depend on whether or not your intake has to be removed, and I assume yours would have to be removed (03 to early 04 engine).
IIRC it would be 6-7 hours. Someone else will come along w/ a more confident answer!
It has been awhile since I had any work done. Labor was around $125 an hour.
Main thing is to find a good and honest shop!

Interesting link from CNC fab, I have never seen thier products.
Appears it's more of an OEM pump look to me, they just do a better job of rebuilding cores maybe?
I would use an Adrenaline myself if needed, but a reliable reman for quite a bit less would be nice.
I think all the bad out of the box Ford remans and others have left a stain.
I would give a shop that amount of time for sure.
btw cvictor - for the parts you will also need a gasket set and also may need a new ICP sensor and ICP wiring harness.
If it is a late 04 engine, you may also need the updated dummy plugs and standpipes.
