I hate to say it, but my excursion may be totaled. The body shop hasnt done a estimate yet. My brother was drivin it 4 days ago and pulled outta his works parkin lot and wasnt payin attention. A Ford Explorer t-boned the front of the Ex at 40-45mph. But the good thing is my bro didnt even get a scratch
Here are some pics:
Hopefully she aint totaled. lol but keep your fingers crossed and ill keep you all informed.
Hey I am new to this forum but that sucks. I have a 2000 Excursion and love it. I think I would cry if someone did that. Hope it is fixable... Best of luck. It would certainly test how good my relationship was with my brother.
Good thing that nobody was hurt. Talk about brothers!
I hate to say it and I know that you are hoping for a fix up, but a 2 wheel drive X I think is going to get written off. Time to collect your goodies outta that one and look for another. Best of luck.
I wouldnt be sayin its a total yet. I am very close to the ppl who own the body shop that i took it to. I went to High school with his son and i own a landscapin company and do all their yard work for dirt cheap. So he said well see what we can do! Yes it was in a accident a while ago. I just got the money to fix that one like last week lol The reason why the last accident wasnt fixed with insurance money was because the truck was still driveable afta the accident and i needed a pick up truck for work really bad. So i used the insurance money as a down payment on a 150 and i vowed i would fix the x. Once i got the money, look what happens lol And 1edgeup, i was very close to gettin teari eyed. After i found out that my bro was ok, reality started to set in that i may not have my orig x for much longer.
And i forgot to post, their is deff frame damage. To what extent, i dont know. Also the drivers side of the TIB front end needs to be replaced. The trucks coolant resivour was also drained to.
If they total it,maybe you could buy it back cheap and get it fixed. My wife's 98 Firebird got hit in rear quarter.Because of age and miles they totaled it. Gave us a check for $5000.00,we paid $400 to buy car back and fixed it for a $1000.00 . Just a thought if the frame isn't to bad.
