Slight Miss

2.9l has a VERY slight miss ( at least I think it is a miss).. It is like the engine is doing morse code.. It VERY faintly shakes and it is NOT enough for the Tachometer to even register it. If I didn't tell you it was doing it you probably wouldn't even notice it. Any expert out there might have something to look at? New wires, plugs, rotor, Etc. I did notice on the coil plug, there is 2 red wires at one end of the connector and a Green/Yellow Stripe wire at the other end.. That solid green wire goes to a crimp and splits off in 3 other directions, one of the wires after that junction has about 6 strands of wire still keeping a connection at a black rubber box (Noise Filter, Diode, Resistor?). What is the purpose of that green wire? Anyone know? When I am driving under a load, I can feel the Miss ALOT more ( LIke I said I believe it might be a miss). Engine cold or hot.

Thanks!
Chaz

Hi Chaz, have same engine. No miss and also don't see the wire in your photo, but want to follow this thread. Seems this section of the forum is not followed by many, so you may also want to post it in another section for more exposure. Not sure which one, but I'm sure there's some thread that may relate to this topic and other section. Hoping someone can answer your question here, however.
