a little red wire, little white and a big white, right. i dont know what its for but you can only need two wires because the ds2 box has two wires. I actually only used 1 wire from that connector, the "run" wire, my truck starts fine without the "start" wire.

What color is your "run" wire?

In 1980, the run wire (4 red) was white/lightblue and the start wire (5 white) was red/lightblue.

The white start wire is good to use, because it retards the timing while starting. This reduces the load on the starter/engine and makes hot starts much faster and easier on everything.
