Good project, but after reading about the ELC comment I'm concerned. I switched our excursion to it 30000 miles ago. So far no signs of an issue but wonder if I should drain and go back to the other.

Don't know what your concerned about if you mean the cups? That concern was for e99 trucks. Later models were okay with it because of a glue change in the injector cups.

Well if it’s only early 99 then I’m no longer concerned. Thanks for clarifying.

Yes hopefully I can button up the rear tailight housing repair fairly quickly I’ve gotta pick up some sheet metal. To make new caps for taillights to mount in. I might have someone interested in the zf6 out of the parts truck I just bought hopefully it sells and we can go full steam ahead. It’ll be nice to have truck back up and operational again.

You need to get that chip in the windshield fixed... It looks like it might crack when the temperature drops a bit.

Sorry guys got I keep getting behind should be ordering a new oil pan a moroso gasket probably bellowed uppipes and a turbo rebuild kit. Probably will order new glow plugs depending on if they all work and are motorcraft. We will see though oh also going to order a new 4in exhaust with muffler. Was really considering the kc turbo sxe turbine wheel upgrade but there out of stock for 99-03 so probably won’t happen this go round. Would really like to do the valve springs but it’s just not in the budget.

Now as far as removing cab how I like to do it is remove radiator and fan shroud then disconnect batterie cables from body and lay them over the motor. Then I disconnect the abs module and unbolt it and the hydro booster and master cylinder and lay them over motor. Then disconnect map sensor lay on top of Motor also don’t forget heater hoses. Then the steering shaft from steering box. Don’t forget the cab and core support bolts along with the ebrake cable and trans wires and depending on if it’s manual or auto the shifter or shifter cable. I’m sure it seems like a lot but it’s very simple with a lift also don’t forget the intercooler tubes. But to me way simpler than pulling out front but guess that’s personal preference. But I’ll try to get better pics when I pull the rollback apart. I’ll definitely get pics of installing parts on motor when they come in.

Well I know I’ve been scrase but I’ve been busy which is a good thing but the oil pan was on back order. So I just pulled one off one of my parts motors and bought new dipstick adapter. Got it all painted up and installed on the motor. Also got the turbo rebuilt half to plug up ebpv hole in turbo outlets and gut and tap and plug turbo pedestal. I’ll get pics of all that and removing cab on truck when we start
