Power steering flush
How to do a power steering flush on a 2014 6.2 F250? I’m thinking I could disconnect the 3/8 return line at the bottom of fill tank, plug it and run the 3/8 return line into a drain pan. Fill with fresh fluid and cycle the steering left to right slowly adding fluid as it returns into the drain pan? Is there a better way? thanks doug

disconnect the hose at the Lowest point...
drain, reconnect hose, fill, start engine, steer left and right, turn off engine... repeat one more time.
do not run engine with power steering LOW on fluid.

I used a large glass pickle jar with two pieces of clear tubing several feet long. I drilled two holes in the lid that allowed to tubes to enter, but seal tight. One went to a vacuum pump (shop vac works too) the other I used to draw out of the reservoir. With the truck running I would draw it down, then refill with fresh. Then I’d cycle thee steering wheel and repeat until I’ve flushed a couple quarts through. No mess, done in less than 5 minutes.
