A/C auto not honoring temp setting

I noticed today, in the 111 degree weather, that when my A/C is on Auto LOW (I tried 73-LOW) cold temp the a/c barely blows. I can switch max A/C and high fan speed to get a possible normal volume of cold air. I also am seeing that sometimes after getting back in the truck it is no longer on auto.

No idea what to even check, any ideas?

Temp sensor

Anyone know where the temperature sensor for the climate controls is located?

Your exterior temp sensor I believe is in the passenger side mirror? At least I think I remember reading that somewhere. Not sure where your interior temp sensor is .

Interior sensor is to the right of the steering wheel. Look for 3 "cuts" in the dash.

Why on earth are you setting it at 73 in 111 degree heat? Put that sucker on "Lo" and crank the fan!
