Rough running until up to operating temperature

Hey all, been awhile.

I acquired an 04 f350 2wd DRW with 235k on it. I planned on parting the truck out. Then I started driving it and fell in love with dually life. It had its issues with failing injectors and I've been poppin in used ones that I've had with unknown mileage on them. Truck runs, drives and tows great. When warm however. Even on 90 degree days I have to run the truck up to temp before I even think of driving it.

so now with 290k on it I think I'm going to try and fix it finally. It's proven itself. Truck starts up every time with rough running. First few miles it bucks and misfires and I constantly have icp pressure too low fault stored. So I'm thinking on going ahead and doing the injectors, stand pipes, dummy plugs, and new oil cooler and go from there. I don't think it's the HPOP and I see my ICP running at 85% damn near 100% of the time leading me to think there's a leak. Is there anything else I should change while I have the top end pulled apart? More than likely will be doing BPD egr cooler while I'm in there and my up pipes because I've developed screeching noise on acceleration

I'd air test it first,03-04 are tricky beasts. No dummy plugs or standpipes. Changing the oil over to Synthetic helps too. I was a Rotellz guy but went to Delo 5w40 and Archoil once in a while and I have no complaints. Air test will find your problem for sure, and if it turns out to be the HPOP, go Allient. Ya, it's 900 big ones but it's the way to go.

Being an 04, where is the ICP sensor located? Behind the turbo (early 04) or on the passenger valve cover (late 04)?

late build so it's in the valve cover

Do you mean there aren't issues with them rather than not having them? I've had this one apart and my 06. One was a torx and the other was Allen head that you have to remove before pulling the oil rails

With the ICP on the cover you will have stand pipes and dummy plugs.
Just no STC fitting and the old pump that is known to show up DOA in
the reman box.
