Blunt Cut Wires

Blunt Cut Wires
Ok, I've looked at many posts about the upfitter switches and pass through wires - the good news, I found all the wires needed. I'm new to auto electronics, so I'm not sure what to do with these Blunt Cut ends of wires. Do I just cut off the black end, or cut into it and splice it there, or is the Blunt end some sort of connector? I appreciate the help. The pass through wires on the 2018 F250 are already very short - cutting them shorter isn't gonna be fun.
Thanks.
Anthony

The black covering on the blunt cut wires from the upfitters is shrink tubing, to keep it insulated from the others. When you want or need power from an upfitter, choose your switch and corresponding wire, strip off the shrink tubing, then connect the wire to the circuit you want to power.

Thanks for the quick replies. That was pretty much what I thought, but figured I’d ask first.
Something tells me 3-4 more inches of wire wouldn’t really have hurt Ford’s bottom line!
by chance, does anyone know the gauge of wire... of the 4 pass through wires, one looks like it is 18 or 20 gauge... are the others 12 ?? 14 ??
thanks again!!

Yeah, should be at least 16 gauge. I just used the brown wire. For sure it wouldn't fit in 18-22 gauge connectors. I used the next size up 14-16 connectors.
