Looking into purchasing a new 2018 F350 and I know one of the first things I’m going to wind up doing to the truck is put a touch screen radio in it. That being said I’m doing a bunch of research on options that I can go base model with the truck to save myself some money up front knowing I’m going to go aftermarket to replace them in the future anyways. (ie. No sense in me getting the fancy factory Ford Sync 3 touch radio or whatever it’s called for extra $$$ knowing it won’t be in truck long) I know they sell aftermarket back up cameras that go in factory locations for the new Superdutys already but was wondering if there was a way to retain an OEM back up cam into an aftermarket radio. Working in car audio for 4 years I’ve never been a fanatic of aftermarket back up cameras, OEM always seamed to function and display a lot better then aftermarket ones IMO so I’d rather retain an OEM one then install aftermarket one. If anyone knows if this is possible and or has done it please let me know! Thanks!
