Engine Sputtering
My '93 300 cid auto was running great when it started sputtering real bad to the point of not being able to make hills. The engine light comes on when it's really bad and goes out when it runs slightly better. I haven't opened the hood yet but I thought I see if anyone had a starting place for me.
I just put in a new alternator the other day but that seems to be OK.

Pull codes and check fuel pressure. If your truck has dual tanks, did you notice if it does this on one tank or on both? Post up what you find, it's a good starting place and can give you more info which will help other, smarter FTE's help you.
