Check engine light
Can anyone tell me how to get the codes from my '94? I don't feel like giving the mechanic $80 to tell me they don't know what the problem is... Here are the symptoms:
Feels like it isn't getting fuel, but if I floor the gas it takes off like it's supposed to. A bit of a hesitation when I press the gas pedal. The check engine light comes on after the engine has been running for several minutes and is intermittent.

Check the "Tech Info" thread atop this forum for a how too, on pulling your codes.
Some autoparts stores have a scantool that'll hook up to & pull codes on OBD-1 vehicles & at no charge, so call around & see whats available in your area. In my area Advance Auto uses the Actron CP-9150 scantool with cables that'll hook up to our OBD-1 vehicles & they pull codes at no charge.
Some stores have a scantool in their Loan-A-Tool program, for a refundable deposit.

with a 94 should not have a need for a code puller. just ground the self test port and count the check eng ligh flashes
